Analysis double pag spread flavour

The first thing you see in the route of the eye in the title. The title is the most important piece of text on the page. As this is what attracts the readers and this is when they decide if they want to read about the article or not. So they have to make it sound good and catchy. Also using a big music icon makes it get more attention. The title is bold as this then will grab the audience attention more. The title is also in two different colours. This makes it stand out. ‘The perfect love song’ is in pink and is bolder than the rest of the title. I feel this is because this is the most important thing that will attract the audience more. I also think it is in pink because it is on about love and pink or red is represented by love and also this part is aimed more at females. The rest is in black because this is another bold colour that will attract the audience. The next thing you see in the route of the eye on the next page is Neyo’s face. I feel they have shown his face first so they know who he is and people then know who it is and will want to read about him. Most girls find him attractive and he is a massive R&B music icon so males will also look up to him and listen to his music. Also as most girls find him attractive males will also look at his fashion and will want to dress like him with the latest fashion. The next thing you see in the route of the eye in the primary optical area is what Neyo is wearing and also a quote that he says about Rihanna. I feel they have added the quote in as him and Rihanna have made songs together. It also shows there relationship and how close they are. He also says she is like a little sister this shows that they have a very close bond and this will make more people want to read about him as it mentions about Rihanna. He is wearing a suit in this picture. I feel he is wearing a suit because he looks smart and most ales do not like suits but if they see Neyo wearing one and females like it then they are going to wear suits to look like him. The next thing you see in the route of the eye in the terminal area is that text in the article. You can see that there is a title and how he is saying about how is easier to write a song if you are in love. This makes people think about his songs and how he must put emotion into them. In the 2nd and 4th hotspots are on the image of Neyo. I feel they have put the hotspots here because the image is the most important thing on the page as females will want to look at him as he is attractive and males will want to know the latest fashion so they will dress like him. The image is the most attractive thing on the page and this is what attracts the audience the most. If someone is flicking through the magazine and see Neyo they will then want to read about him. The 1st and 3rd hotspots are on the article. I feel this is because the text is also as important as the image as this is what the readers are going to be reading about. The text is all in black and pink. I feel this is because they make each other stand out. The layout of the magazine is different to other double page articles. As the conventional double page spread has the image in the middle whereas this article has the image on one side and the text on the other. They have done this so the image looks more dominate and stands out more as it is on its own. The colour scheme they have used it black, white, pink and grey. They have used white on the text page so that they text stand out and it is easy to read. I feel they have made the text pink and black because they are both bold colours that will attract the readers to the page this makes it stand out from other competition on the market. I feel they have made the second article background grey so that the image stands out and it will attract the audience more. Each part of a text has a subtitle. I feel this is to make it look more effective and have less text, because if the article had loads of text the readers will loose interest. Also this makes the subtitles standout and then the readers will read about them and see if they will want to read about the whole thing. This gives it more of an effect. I feel this target market is 13-18 as it is saying how to write songs and it does not say about his songs so I feel it will be a younger audience. The genre is R&B. It is aimed at both genders as boys will look at him as a fashion icon and girl will find him attractive.
